Chapter 8 : Familiarity
Jiang Yu thought for a while and then looked at Huo Shiqian: " Is Mr. Huo satisfied?" Huo Shiqian frowned imperceptibly but quickly returned to normal : "Miss Jiang, I think you misunderstood me. I only came here because of my mother." Jiang Yu's face remained the same (didn't care), and she slightly leaned her body forward, as if to get closer to him. With the corners of her lips raised in a smile, her eyes were shining bright just like the sunshine. "But ... Mr. Huo, I think you look like my future husband" He was stunned for a moment. Suddenly, a flash of light ran through his mind. It seemed to him that someone had said such things to him before.
Obviously, it's just their second meeting, but Jiang Yu always makes him feel a strange and sudden sense of familiarity. "As you can see, I'm pretty. If we go out together I am confident you won't lose face. So, do you want to consider me?" She winked at him with an implied meaning that doesn't match her innocent appearance. Huo Shiqian really frowned this time. A lot of women tried to get close to him. But he had never met someone like Jiang Yu. Such a straightforward admittance of her intentions. What's more unexpected is that he doesn't feel disgusted at all. The waiter broke the silence in the bright room as he brought their meals. And they ate quietly thereafter. As Jiang Yu looks at the back of him leaving, she felt that the once delicious food now tasted bland. She put down her chopsticks and curls her mouth to send a message to Bai Xiaotang. Jiang Yu: I admire the fact that I have once dated Huo Shiqian Bai Xiaotang: The whole school admires you. At that time, Jiang Yu was the campus belle of the best middle school in B city, as well as the "tailie" student. What's more, the young thugs in the nearest school were calling her "sister Jiang" respectfully. Meanwhile Huo Shiqian, always first in the grade, was the famous flower of the school. He was polite but distant, this led to countless hearts breaking because of him. No matter how you saw it, they didn't have anything in common except perhaps their appearance. So when Jiang Yu started chasing Huo Shiqian, everyone was anticipating her failure. Only, after awhile, Jiang Yu appeared holding Huo Shiqian's hand. It was so absurd that a group of students dropped their jaws in surprise when they first saw it. Jiang Yu looked at the table that had most of the dishes left untouched, and bit her lips in frustration. Now is not the same as when she was in school. Just how can she get close to Huo Shiqian?
After thinking for a while, she immediately called Xia Ke: "Xia Ke, It's Jiang Yu." Xia Ke was a little surprised and couldn't help teasing her: "sister Jiang, what's the matter again?"
